I've been doing some research about doing an OEM integration build in my Tahoe. I want to use a processor for it's EQ and time alignment purposes and I wanted to keep the stock Bose amp and speakers. It looks much easier if I bypass the Bose amp and use an aftermarket 4 channel. I'm wondering what kind of power I could safely put to the Bose speakers in my truck? Keep in mind that the speakers are 2ohm.

It all depends on the speakers I dont know how to with out pulling oen out to see what it is rated to do then go from there.

Ok, I wasn't sure it they had any power ratings on them or not. Maybe someone will know, and tell me before I try to take a door panel off tomorrow.

couldn't really find anything...I saw one thing that said 40wrms for the tweeter, but I think the mid and the tweeter in the Tahoes are wired in parallel with a capacitor in between as the crossover. So I guess maybe 40wrms for each channel...
