There is no way you are gonna have room to fit enough port area walling off a civic trunk with 2 15's

1535d's only need 2.5cf each I honestly don't care if I lose the trunk space..........although I would prefer a box for easy removal of subs incase I track the beast

How much width do you have to work with if you wall off the trunk

If you don't have the width, you could always do a clamshell 4th order. I'm still researching calculation methods, but I plan on doing one sometime before my car dies.

Something like this:

maybe he ment 6th order

jdmferio13

it still needs a wall in the front area then ported to be a 6th

Well I don't know the exact label for it, but the idea behind it is basically a ported clamshell. I have read that with clamshells, once the baffles reach a certain angle it turns into a 4th order. Thats why I said I'm still researching things....

excuse me for not using proper terminology :suicide:

I'M running my 1535d's in a 7.5 cube net wall tuned to 35hz with about 130 sq in of port. It does well even only on 2000 watts. Tried it on about 4500 Watts but one of the amps said F_that.
Went to an iasca show over the weekend and bassboxed a 142.8 DB ( 30 sec average)

If there's a will... Then there's always a WAY!

... And stop telling all my secrets!!! LOL - But Yeah, for the most part it was built inside the trunk!

how is this a 4th order and wheres the sealed chambers?

A plain old 4th order is just a ported box. It's different from a 4th order bandpass. If you left the backseats in it would be a weird version of a 6th order where the port leaves through the sealed chamber instead of through the ported chamber

How did the Lanzar subs work out for you? Do you think one would take an ap3000?
