Car audio & installs aren't anywhere near as popular as they used to be back in the day, but I recently completed a stereo install in my CRX. Most of the equipment used is high endquality equipment and the amps, tweeters and subwoofer are semi-old skool from the mid 1990's.
If you're wondering how much I spent on this, including installation and wiring is close to $1000 Canadian.
FWIW, The Clarion DRZ9255 headunit alone was $1800 brand new back in 2004-2008, I got it for a steal locally.
Check it out.

i wants your tweets. didn't you do a build on diy? i know i've seen it. i was going to go just old school from my day in the low-ridder, but i realized, i can do that, and go all kicker, (except the head, of course) at the same time. kicker tweets and cross-overs, maybe an eq are all that's missing.

That just makes me want to call Kicker sometimes and ask "What the hell happened?" Kicker used to make great speakers and subs. Love the system BTW.

yup. alot of old skool equipment went downhill once China got involved.... but there are some newer companies, mostly in europe that make excellent stuff today.

Looks real clean! Do you have pics of the whole CRX? I have one also. Funny thing is I have the exact same substation in my garage . I was running it for awhile until I upped my wattage . The substation sounds absolutely amazing in the back of the CRX . here is my car .
