Whats the advantages of metal over PVC?
I'm looking for an 8"
psychoacoustics
02-22-2012, 08:36 PM
hmmm tough question
metal will take up less space in your box by a little
metal will not break if you put screws into it to mount it?
metals flare radius is more constant
paint will stick to metal better if you decided to paint it

I'd like an 8" but I can only go a max of 13" total opening. Is that doable?
psychoacoustics

it is if you either:
a) trim the flange
b) use a smaller flare radius
