View Full Version : Why do on some topics the first few posts get removed and an ad gets put there?

Seems like 70% of the topics I go to, the first few posts will be there, then just disappear and an ad will be in its place. This is very annoying since I can't tell what the OP is asking because the posts get removed.

Any way around this?

Thats odd. Did it just start happening this week?

I know its been happening the past couple of days. I'll post a screenshot when it happens again, always seems to be an HR block ad though.

It could be the auto-refresh on threads causing problems. does it happen about 10 seconds after a page loads?

Somewhere around that long. The post doesn't normally stay there long enough for me to read it.

removed the first post and put an ad in its place.

Are you using the latest version? It has to be something to do with the auto-refresh feature.

Thats weird, when I get ad's it just takes a space between OP and 2nd post doesn't delete anything (Chrome)

Yep, that is how the square ads go. Chrome is what I use and no issues so far.

I'm having a problem with random smilies displaying over the top of everything. Was going to post my own thread but all I could see is smilies" no text boxes. Lol .

Same thing is happening to me boss. It started happening after the new upgrades. I'm fairly certain it has to do with the auto refresh function.

Why dont you just get Ad Block Plus?

When people complain about ads about the site and youtube I just laugh.

I do have it, makes no difference.

I take that back, it removes the ad but posts still get removed.

What version of FF do you have? And what alla extensions are you using? I've been using FF since the update and haven't had that problem at all.

It has to do with the page auto-refreshing. I'll see what I can look on on a fix for this.
