Hi,

I have Infnity 5020cs 2 way component, But i dont have corssovers and tweeters. This system impedance is 2 ohm and i can not find 2 ohm crossover.

Can i use 4 ohm crossovers ? or how can i found 2 ohm crossover?

Maybe you can get them directly from Infinity?

If you're just running the mids I would try them without any crossovers and see how it sounds. If you want to keep highs out of them i't probably simplest to do active crossovers.

No, you can't use 4 ohm crossovers on a 2 ohm driver.

or simply make your own.

Thanks for your helps.

After i install amp. to my car will try this witout crossover. If i can not satisfy with sound, i will try to find a 2ohm crossover or making new one.

I looked the how can make a crossover but they are too complicated. If you draw me a electrnic table and what will i use i can make a new one. Can you help for this ?

If you say me which condansator-capacitor or other parts i can find in our city. Than I can make them together with your table.

You can use crossovers designed for a 4ohm speaker set but I can guarantee it will not sound right. When you raise the impedance you'll effectively be raising your crossover points. Likewise, using 2ohm drivers on a 4ohm crossover will lower the crossover freq to the point your tweeter will probably fry rather quickly...if not instantly.

You can't run the tweeter's without crossovers, if you do, you will destory them. Crossovers are required. A simple 6dB crossover on the tweeter can work fine, it is what coax speakers use.

A 14uF cap will be a 6kHz high pass filter with 6dB/oct slope would be fine. Call your local shops and ask for a "fourteen micro-Farad non-polarized capacitor"

Radio Shack may have one. A local car audio shop may have one.

Or order one from Parts Express.

I recommend you find the original crossovers on eBay.
