Since its a heavy duty truck it deserves a heavy duty radio and I like the thought of having the weather band for this off road beast ...Ill only use radio and aux in ...so I found the perfect radio for it.....So I ordered this....

I dont think alpines like water, so ima pass.....

My truck has 20s and is 2wd it stays on the street or grass, water dosnt get in my cab lol. But i guess for that purpose it was a good pick, does anyone else carry a waterproof car HU?

There are probably others...but this is just a play truck...I m not setting the system up for competitions or even look that great...I have other vehicles for that....The radio will serve its purpose and sound better than the 40's going down the road...though the 40's do have a pretty distinct roar that is quite soothing....

So after a couple of hours of filing cutting and dremaling not to mention several broke cutting wheels...the dash is now ready to accedt a DIN mount radio....the cage got bent up in first attempt to fit :crap:

it was...its gas now...i got the radio playing today...but not real pleased with the reception...i used an amplified Marine antenna...Im gonna have to further test and get a few more pics....The output volume suprised me...It is all ill need for this vehicle....but Antenna route may change
