This is why I didn't explain why I chose the speaker I did - it would have fallen on deaf ears.

I know you're not going to pay attention to what I'm about to say, but you'll probably have more success simply buying one pair of nicer speakers, and amping them, than buying 3 pairs of terrible speakers and running them off HU power...

Alpine SPR-69C (spr69c) Type-R 6" x 9" 2-way Speakers (http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_8552_Alpine-SPR-69C.html)

He already has a thread about this. He's pretty set on alot of speakers and alot of power so he can be "heard coming".

I already tried to explain this. If you missed his 100 other threads, he has 4 channels at 25W each for his 6x9s, so now he's got no more amp channels for his front speakers or this new 3rd pair of 6x9s. I think he needs 6x9s in place of his head rests next, with tweeters lining his arm rests.

:beathors:i think you should put 3 sets in your rear deck, then 2 sets in each front door, the another set for the rear seat sails, hell maybe even 2 sets in small boxes on the rear seat, another 2 sets on the rear floor, and 2 sets in the front grill ALL 6 X 9'S .you can go wrong there.you'll have the perfect brazilian set up then.

Why bother with two amps? Just run a robust 4 channel with the rears wired in series to 2 ohm per side.

Why bother with two amps? Just run a robust 4 channel with the rears wired in series to 2 ohm per side. ive heard that in parallel ill have more power in each but with distortion and in series it will be less power but cleaner sound, and im trying to give each a channel so they run on proper power each and have em al sound their best

You won't be able to hear the distortion it's minute. I know you're not after sound quality, just want it to sound good, but with a left pair of speakers in parallel and a right pair in parallel you'll be fine and notice very little increase in distortion. Stick with a class a/b amp too.

I wouldn't but if I was in your shoes and that's what I was going to do, I would probably get the pioneers since they play down the lowest, or the kickers. I still don't think it will sound that good.

what would you do? i want to get hear coming down the street not just my bass but the voice i want it to be able for the song im listening to be heard like the words, i got woofers in my trunk so im kinda only worried about the voice since my woofer is going to be playing the lows

Run one set of 6.5 components upfront and one set of 6x9 or 6.5 coaxials in rear on a nice amp. Then go from there of it's not loud enough. Should be plenty.

A good set of components and a single good set of 6x9's iwth the correct crossover frequencies and amp power will get plenty loud, if you must have 3 sets of speakers then just go the 6x9's route, it will get loud.

In my car I have a 3-way componenet set (which I highly recommend doing) with nothing powered on in the back except my subs and it gets more than loud enough.

Toss in some mini horns if what u are looking for is vocals to be heard from a far far distance. Want sound that great but they can get loud as all hell.

89Eldorado
01-20-2012, 04:34 PM
the components are just to place each speaker in different locations to get the sound waves aimed at me to make it sound nice right? or will it catch different frequencies than the 6x9s...dont the 6.5 catch the same frequencies than the 6x9?

89Eldorado
01-20-2012, 04:37 PM
the 10 inch would cath the mids my 12s dont right that way my 12 catch the lows the 10 cacthes the mids and my speakers catch the highs

I bet those are all made in the same Chinese prison.

Why don't you just go find some Pop's 6x9's?

None. Waste of cash, waste of time.
You're just going about it all wrong... more speakers does not mean louder...
Better speakers with a proper install means louder. I have ONE set of 6.5 components up front, and a single 10" subwoofer in the trunk. I can be heard coming from blocks away, I can hear all aspects of the music clearly at all volume levels. A bunch of those 6x9 will just sound like crap....
Get a good set of 6.5" components up front, and maybe a set of coaxials in the rear. You won't be able to hear them though. I've got about 120w going to each side on my components, and 1200w going to my sub.

More speakers or larger speakers will physically move more air, generate more or bigger sound waves. I belive what you are trying to say is that better speakers gives you cleaner sound...im trying to be loud with my voice and my woofers are handling the lows so i believe better quality speakers wont really make a difference since im going to have so much bass

They're pretty ridiculous looking...but whoever has bought them usually raves about them. I remember seeing those things back in the mid 90's when the streets were still littered with Malaise Era Detroit cars with 6x9's or 4x10's in the rear deck. Never heard anything bad about them but always was skeptical as "Pops" himself sold those things at local Chicago flea markets.

Honestly, if you have the choice between some repackaged 6x9, like you have in your OP, or Pops speakers...get Pops. That way, at least you can say you've tried them and there's no way possible they're worse than what's in the OP.

No, what I'm saying is, better speakers, installed properly, WILL be louder. What you're trying to accomplish with a car full of ****, is the same thing I accomplish with a very simple install. It's very loud, very clear, crisp vocals, and can be heard from far away. It's just a waste of space, time and money. Unless you like the looks of having a bunch of mediocre speakers in every nook and cranny of your car.

I was confused about this as well :\
