So Im about to buy a couple (2) JL Audio 13W7's for my Sequoia. A buddy of mine is in a bind and he needs some cash so he is giving me a deal I cannot refuse kinda thing for two of them.

Anyways, which amp do you guys recommend for two of these subs? He had a 1000/1 on them but I know thats seriously under powered...right? Maybe two 1000/1's but not one.

Any suggestions would be great. Thx

How good is the deal for starters? Have you taken into account box space? Or electrical upgrades, custom box ,and the rest of the system (if you dont have one) price into cosideration? How much do you have to spend taking all of that into account?

future reference subwoofer questions can be asked in the subwoofer section.
13W7AE-D1.5 - Car Audio - Subwoofer Drivers - W7AE - JL Audio (http://www.jlaudio.com/13w7ae-d1-5-car-audio-w7ae-subwoofer-drivers-92116)
rms 500-1500watts

like the last guy said taking into account all the other factors of the system the 1000/1 would work, are there other amps that would work better? forsure but if your getting a good price then go for it, especially if this is your first audio build, less likely to blow those subs with a 1k amp then something more "optimal" in the power range for those drivers.
