So I build my freind a box its 3 jl 13.5 w1's on a jl1000/1 and they are facing up in a triangle forum. it is build outta 3/4 mdf box is very nice came out good and is tune to 35hz but when it drops a low note in the middle of the top piece you can see is flexing very bad and hes losing alot of output because of this, now say I got 3 metal L brakets from home depot and put them inside and and bolted them in would this help or no

the rods are not the part I see where its braced where the 2x4 looking things are thats where im getting the flex and i dont wanna put wood like that because i feel like it would ruin the effiancy because the box pounds right now

Get some 1" dowels they are super cheap and because they are rounded they don't interfere much

You're right. I'm not sure where I was going with that: LONG day.

It was meant to be a sarcastic question but I also had a long day. This seems to be pretty counter-productive

Either use some threaded rod or get some dowels. They are both fairly cheap to get and are pretty fool proof

What they're trying to say is, get a couple 1" wooden dowels and bolt them from front to back on the 2x4's you were refering to.
