Im going for a simple set up, components in the front, coaxials in the back..

Because my Matrix requires shallow depth speakers it seems I dont have many options for the front.

I was looking at the infinity 6030cs but I have been hearing they have very little low end..

I listen to metal.. I'm not looking for loads of low-end, I'm not even planning to get a sub.. but would like some good well balanced speakers.

I think it needs to be about 2 1/8" or shallower, and 6.5".. please let me know of any speakers that come to mind.

EDIT: Budget is around $200 for the front components

We need a budget before any serious recommendations can be made. Also, I hope you have an amplifier install planned as well because no good shallow components are going to sound their best off a factory head unit.

You'll be missing all of the sub bass from music without a subwoofer. With metal this means all the ******* bass drops bands incorporate in their music will be absent, plus a shallow woofer is going to have a really hard time with midbass at loud volumes. Midbass is where you hear kick drums, toms, and some bass guitar notes.

budget is about $200 for the front speakers..
I am planning an amp.. I think I will be going with the JBL GTO1004
and for the rear speakers I am thinking the Pioneer TSD1602..

They're also not 2-1/8" or shallower.

I'm thinking Massive Audio SK-6 II (http://www.massiveaudio.com/store/product.php?productid=16172&cat=256&page=1). These are not going to hit 50 Hz with respectable authority, but for the money they should sound great. I've used the coaxial version of these and they were really impressive.

Kenwood has shallow mount components.
