Is there a dfferance in size of the flare? I see theres options 2-6in or so, wondering what differance it makes. My slot ports have been giving me port noise on a few higher fq's, trying to eliminate it

The smaller diameter the shorter the port needs to be. You want more port area so the larger the diameter the more port area you get. If you double the number of ports you more than double the port length needed for each port.

If you do 4FT box tuned to 32 you need 1 6.34" long 4" port, but if you use two 4" ports you need 14.6" to get the same tuning.

I'm not sure how much port area you need, you would need to ask someone who knows how to design enclosures what is recommended. Also remember to take displacement into account.
Here is a calculator for that as well.

And I believe you start your measurement where the flare ends and the straight section begins.
