DataSafe is a solid brand, and the smaller ones like these have a quick discharge rate...great for burps.

All but a few are right at 13V...the other three are at 12.8V for some reason. I need to see if I can train them to sit higher.

And I know you have a good amp that you'd be willing to trade for these. :D I figure I'd try the trade route since I'm in need of a mono amp for my 18W6's.

I'm looking for 2kw+ at 1ohm or 4ohms...I like headroom so I can keep my amps cool.

How would these do as a primary solo battery under then hood? Or are they designed to be a secondary bat?

They work best as a secondary batt IMO, since you can generally fit something up front that's bigger and has a higher CCA rating.

Using as a second battery, how much power can you run off these?

RAM_Designs

Using as a second battery, how much power can you run off these?

It's very install dependent, and there's no definite answer. It depends on the size of your stock alt, the battery you're running up front, if you've done the Big 3 or not, if you have adequate wiring, how your amp is set(clean vs clipping), and what kind of music you listen to, how you listen to it, and for how long. Assuming your stock charging system can handle a 1kw system, add one of these for every 500-750watts more than that and you won't have to worry about the voltage dropping once your amps get past your alternator.

Sorry about that man, but I remember a truck with some Fi Q's in a 6th with some huge Datasafe batteries. Can't find the thread now, but eh, it's not that important I guess.

I'm not sure since DataSafe doesn't give a CCA spec. If you're using it as a secondary battery, then CCA is a pretty useless spec anyways.

If this is a generic Batcap 2000 then yes it can be used under the hood, according to the fact that Ray recomemded a Batcap 2000 as a replacment under the hood. I am still looking to buy one or two more Batcap 2000s when I have some extra $.

Yep, unless your stock battery is a wet cell batt. Replace it with an AGM style battery and you'll be good.

cold weather and texas? Come to N.E. ohio! But yeah I was reciting the alts. specs and I now realize A LITTLE MORE and know that these are not correct. I was going to compete but that takes alot of $ to be at the top and since I have a wife and daughter to support I can't do that, and since I am an sq guy more than sp I will just be building for sq. and hobby then for comps. Also my goal is to hit 150 dbs from my infinity kappa 6x9's any help would greatly appreciated.
