Didnt know where to post this. It needs to be AWD cause it needs to perform in the snow. v6 or under. I would love a car (no SUV or truck). Lastly no audi.... I will not deal with them anymore.
one more thing... it needs to have some pickup and somewhat good on insurance. (no WRX/STI/EVO)

Opinions....
was looking at the mazdaspeed6 so something around those guidelines.

mazdaspeed6 would be an excellent choice IMHO

orrrrrr get Impreza 2.5RS and turbo without telling the insurance :suave:

you just narrowed that down to a handful of cars as possibilities.

SUV is the way to go ;)

I think that narrow choice is a good thing, he made it simpler to pick one out, rather than saying you could pick one of any dozens of possibilities and be good.

Anyways, Mazda6 would be a pretty good deal, didn't know they made AWD but that is sweet. And the Imprezza would also be a good pick, just don't tell insurance about the turbo:)

No suv guys sorry I wouldn't take one if it had 1739 hp. Im just a car guy. Imma check that magnum. O and BTW the speed 6 is wayyy different compared to the regular 6. The speed has 6 speed manual. Awd and a 2.3 turbo

Well you ruled out my two cars I was going to advice. The Lancer Evo does awesome in the snow and the WRX is insane on the gravel.

Lowered GMC Sierra Denali? LOL I know you said car, not truck and obviously under 10 grand. I'm more into pickups than imported cars, so I don't now

Dad had the older version (850 T5 Wagon) and it was a pretty fast car, also insurance was cheap being a Volvo.

Word as advice from experience, stay away from ANY dodge/chrysler. hyundai, subaru, kia, volvo cars, stay FAR away from these...
Many people might think differ but being a technician i RARELY see any gm, nissan, toyotas or hondas(that arnt riced out)

Dude gtfo.
subarus have some of the best trannys out there and are solid cars. its when idioits mess with them.
volvos may not be the Best, but they are great on safety features.
kia, yeah bad, same with hyundia.
Dodge isnt bad. the magnum is nice, as well caliber.

I don't care what anyone says, volvos are great cars. In my experiences, usually great in the snow & the ones with the turbo are still fun to drive.

I cant stand subarus for their engine problems
I love when people that dont have much mechanical/real world experience tend to think "they have the best reliable car" which say things like "this car is nice, so is this"

Im talking about reliability, NOT the exterior, YES the dodges look pretty, are they reliable? NO

Let me start with this:
Im a GM guy. I love GM.

But any car will have problems. I have worked on cars for years. I worked on cars before I could drive. The problem is saying stay away from so and so. I bet I could go find you any one of those cars on your do not buy list then go find a GM in worse condition. For the most part any car will be nice from the factory but its the owners job to make it stay that way.

As far as Im concerned when buying a used car from a mechanical aspect, you can throw the badge out the window. Now I buy Chevy's because thats just what I like, not because GM holds the holy grail.

And on a side note, I was a tech at Toyota. If only you knew half the problems Toyotas have. Half of them need new water pumps by 10k. Tacoma's have frame problems, as well as a lot of Siena's needing new wiring harnesses fairly early due to faulty connections.
