View Full Version : WTT my Shiva-x2

I have the much beloved Shiva-X2 for trade. Anyone that knows about this sub, knows it's great. I'm looking to downsize my power requirements as the Shiva loves the juice, I'd recommend around 1500W. It hasn't been abused and is in great condition except for one tiny nick on the surround, I tried to get the best shot of it I could. It doesn't affect the sound at all. If I were selling it, I'd do around $200 shipped to give an idea of what I'd value it at.

What I'm looking for: A 12" sub that will bang hard in a 1.5-2.0 cube sealed box on 500-1000W. NOW CONSIDERING 2 10's that will be happy in 2 cubes or less on 100W or less.
I have references under this name on ebay, bought from Mitch86 here and talon on CACO.

trade you a DCON 10 AND a american bass XD 8?? Both are D4 and both will handle 500 clean watts , both are rated @ 300 though.

Thanks, but I'm really looking for a 12. Especially since I already have a box made.

I want your shiva, but all I have to offer is a 12" Infinity Kappa Perfect BNIB.

What voice coil config is it?

One of my fav subs ever. But I think if you worked on a new box design you could get that shiva to wrk hard with only 500-600watts. Yes, it can take 1500 but I have also seen them used with way less power and in a proper box got loud as ***. Friend has 1 in a t-line on a 500watt plate amp and its just crazy. nonethless great sub here. GL seller

What voice coil config is it? dual 2

I'll consider the Infinity but don't know much about them, need to research. And I have no doubt the Shiva can get loud, I had it running HT duty for a while on 500. But I have space restraints in the trunk(in other words: wife wants space in there) so sealed is almost a must.

the infinity wont handle too much over its rated 375 RMS , but is a very nice sounding sub. my brother owned a perfect 10.1 and honestly i havent heard a low powered sub hit double bass kick drums with as much accuracy as that perfect 10.1 , everybody knows how i like to pimp out the SSA's around here but my dcon's don't hold a candle (havent tried them sealed though) to the accuracy that perfect 10.1 had. i had a chance to buy a pair recently and am regretting not doing it now. Best sub infinity ever made IMO.

take the cmp

DD 1512
Ascendant Audio assassin 12
Image dynamics idmax 12v3

would you be interested in any?

What's the specs on the cmp? Never heard of them, would they have as much output as the shiva on 1000 or less?

08-19-2011, 03:34 PM
CMp is a good sub, underhung coil. rated at 1000 i think.

08-19-2011, 05:12 PM
i coulndt tell you about the output comparison because the cmp i have has never been powered other then to make sure it was mot blow. nor have i heard a shiva. but from the things i have read online it is supposed to have pretty good out put while sounding great. if u wanna talk it over lmk i dont plan on using the cmp any time soon.

cmp will get loud and sound good always loved them and the x2 models. drop her in a t-line and have a good day.. not to ruffle anyones feathers but the cmp is not wrth the 200 value u place on the shiva so maybe get him to toss some cash or other stuff in to make it a fair trade

08-19-2011, 06:47 PM
The CMP does seem nice but I'm leaning towards the IDMAX. I already have a sealed box so the sub will need to do well in it as a t-line would not fit the WAF.

the cmp is more geared towards sq also not saying its an idmax but its no joke in the sq department and would wrk very well in a sealed box but ur choice to make just tossing out my 2cents and i say cmp with alil extra from him would be the best offer so far

Thank you, I will do a little more comparisons of the two.

i was planning on testing out the cmp in a sealed box i have here. if i have time this weekend ill take a quick video for you.

Thanks, I'm also awaiting some pics of the IDMax.

Any interest in a IA Lethal Injection with cash?

08-22-2011, 05:21 AM
Thanks but i can't find much in the spec dept. to model that IA with. And actually, the more I model the more it seems no 12 really beats the Shiva out. The closest so far is the IDMax, does a little better than the shiva(around 2db) until about 34Hz where the shiva takes over for the same 2db difference. I'm thinking now maybe 2 10s may be better for me.

Anyone want to throw some 10's up? Needs to do well in a small box on 1000W or less.
