Sorry, don't know if this has been posted before. Tried searching but couldn't find what I needed to know.

I was wondering if the HU (DEH-3500) was enough to power these 4x6 dash plates, which have 60w RMS rating or if I would need an amp to run them.

Planning on getting Infinity Kappa 60.5 components and the infinity kappa 10" sub and powering those with a 4-channel US Acoustics amp (USB-4085).

This way I would only need one amp.

So is 22w sufficient for these 4x6s?

I would say they would do ok if you never plan on cranking the volume up. Once you do turn the volume up the internal amp in that deck will eventually start to clip and kill your 4x6's. My advice for the most part would be to run an amp for them but I can also understand how money can be an issue. If you have the funding just get a 2 channel and feed that to the sub and run the 4x6's and the comps off that 4 channel. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

I'm driving a GMC Sonoma and i'm pretty sure they come stock with a 100-amp alternator... not sure. So, say I was to get a second amp, with a 30 amp fuse rating while the 4-channel amp has two 30 amp fuses. Would my alternator be able to handle the 90 amp load? I heard somewhere you should leave atleast 40% free..? something like that.

Wait, it wouldn't be a 90 amp load would it? It would be more like 21 amps with the USB-4085 and USB-600D according to this http://www.crutchfieldadvisor.com/S-66ICcT57f2I/learningcenter/car/amplifiers_install_power.html correct?
