View Full Version : Explorer mid bass builds?

Want to get some ideas on how to build door panels for 2x 6.5's in an 03 explorer.

Any pictures, links, tutorials or advice would be great. Many thanks will be given.




I'm thinking about cutting out the bottom section of the door storage and using 1/2" mdf to to build a small enclosure to fit the 6.5's and then using vinyl to stretch over.

got any mdf rings handy? lol.. i've not ventured into other ford's outside the ranger so i'll not be much help :(..

what year? i have 2000 exploder. you are probly gonna have depth issues. i have 3 inches depth wise with my speakers toward the back, (its where the heated seats and seat adjust settings are)

Fiberglass but its a pita.
