09-12-2011, 03:06 AM
no events in to toledo area this year, but i'd like to get up there next season. any places u know open to an event lmk and i'll try to set something up

09-12-2011, 02:14 PM
car stereo one in toledo said they were gonna try and have a small non sanctioned event but I think that fell through. Everytime I would call and ask they said to call back later in the summer and now summer is just about over. The people that run the place are kinda d bags anyway so maybe its a good thing they didnt have an event.

Ok so I have a question about competing....does meca provide songs/tones to play while making a pass or do I have to provide my own? Am I allowed to sit in the car while making a pass? Can I change the tune of my box? I have never competed before.

09-26-2011, 02:36 PM
Judges do not provide media to play during an SPL and Park and pound pass, you must bring your own music (amatear street classes) or tones

YOu can only sit in your vehicle for SPL if your under 145db. If you do higher than 145db and are sitting in the car you will be dqed but allowed to run again right after previous run.

you can change anything that you want as long as all changes are made before verification of class.

09-26-2011, 04:37 PM
So amateur street is music only? How long is each pass and how many do I get?

09-26-2011, 04:52 PM
And the engine has to be off right?

09-26-2011, 06:00 PM
and how strict are they about the cleanliness of song lyrics, all my songs are the dirty versions lol

09-28-2011, 11:58 PM
Each pass is 30 seconds, car off for amateur classes yes. Dunno how many passes the head judge will allow, get there early enougb and u can at least get 2 (2nd pass will be an extra $5). Me and the other judges generally don't care about the lyrics

Sweet thanks for all the help, looks like I will be there, I just need to get an oil change and a front end alignment.

09-29-2011, 12:13 PM
no prob, hope to see ya there. I'll be judging SQ, but plan on getting some vids of the spl and park and pound fun

09-29-2011, 02:43 PM
where is the meter placed for park and pound? Does the car have to be off for this too?

09-29-2011, 09:30 PM
For some reason i thought this happening this sat. i made plans to drive from Pittsburgh pa to come to it than i looked again to see directions and i see it's on Sunday,Err. I never competed before, Is there rules about running fuses and such at this event? I was going to bring my Volvo and i got a temp system in it (No fuses). Will i be able to enter?

09-29-2011, 10:52 PM
Kushy the meter is on a table 6ft away for park and pound. Car is on, but u cannot sit it

2dcore: you can enter without fuses, it will just mean you will be put in the highest street or mod class depending on your setup unless your amp's max power rating is readily available. Then we can use the non-member power formula to determine your class

so the show is sunday, not saturday? i hope sunday so i can watch the bucks and bring my son and nephew:-) you should post a link to the rulebook so everyone can look through them. also whats the cost to enter or just get the car metered?

10-01-2011, 11:35 AM
