Hey all,

I just got back into car audio after a few years. I got a 2011 Scion TC with the upgraded OEM Headunit. It's pretty nice..it does HD/USB, it has a nice screen, IPOD controls, front/rear/sub preouts, etc. I am in the process of doing a system.

I've always used Pioneer decks with 4-5V preouts. This deck has 2.5 v preouts, with no choices for crossover settings, no EQ settings, etc. I am looking into possibly a line driver. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it is a line driver I need. My amp doesnt have a subsonic filter on it I dont think (theres no switch or knob or level for it. I'm running a 12W7 in a ported enclosure, and a Kicker ZX750.1.

I'm currently using a ZX750.1 and a 12'' L7. Sounds good, but I wanted something louder. Is there a certain model I should get, or brand I should look towards...?

That deck is a stripped down version of mine.. JL cleansweep is a nice unit.. You are running a W7 or a L7? If its a L7 its going to be hard to get "louder" of that power.

yeah bro he got me confused too he claimed to be running two diff subs lol...and i dont understand what his question really is to be honest... what do you want to know about diff subs/amps or diff headunits..you were all over the place in your post... also whats your budget that you'd want to spend to get louder if it is subs/amps

I think he wants more of a crossover then the deck has..
I'm pretty sure that deck has everything he need though.

Sorry for the typos

I have a 12'' L7, I'm getting a 12'' W7 this week. Im just wondering if some kind of signal processor or line driver would help.

a W7 isn't going to be louder than the L7 you have... just sound a hell of alot better

Pics of the install would help. Probably a box and sub location change would make the biggest difference. A line driver is only needed when the signal is lower than the amp can handle and achieve full output. more signal and you will need to turn down your gains. How did you set gains?

Maybe bass restoration, MTX reQ or similar. Used RF 360.2, AudioControl, Alpine, JBL, etc.
