The show was great, a lot more people turned out than I expected. Pete and the guys at Vibes did a great job with the free food, water and watermelon again this year. We'll definitely be back again next year.

121.7? What exactly was he running? lol

SPL Blazer

He had a pair of Kicker 8" subs in sealed boxes behind the seat in his standard cab Ford F150. I think he was running about 500 watts and that was on music.

billy hutchinson....what did he have?

SPL Blazer

No clue what he had, half the people at the show have never competed before so I don't know what they use for gear. The guy with the 121.7 I remember cause it was such a low number, but not bad considering what he was running and the type of vehicle it was in.

Not necessarily, granted trunk cars are hard to get loud, but at least you can move the box around while testing and find the sweet spot that gets the loudest. Mounted behind the seats in a standard cab truck gives you no room for movement at all.

Mike G. must have had issues. What does Derek McGregor run?
BTW Steve, I have a world championship SS1-2 van (already built) for sale, I just picked up a little something for music...

haha, you haven't seen the video's Nate, Mike set an amp on fire. And Derek runs a pair of SoundStream 18's, whatever the new model is and a couple SS amps, not sure which model though.

What does he run for a vehicle?

SPL Blazer

You've seen him at a few USACi shows last season, he's got the blue Chrysler Sebring. He walled it off during the off-season.

Mr. Slate
07-18-2011, 10:15 PM
OK, yes, I didn't know he walled that off. What amp did Mike blow up now and where is the video?

I hope that wasn't one of Keith's amps because I was gonna buy them for music, lol.

SPL Blazer
07-18-2011, 10:35 PM
I don't think so, he's been using them all season. I know Keith just picked up another SS 10K.

Mr. Slate
07-19-2011, 08:51 PM
OK just talked to Keith, my amps are safe, lol. Now if I could just sell my SS 1-2 van!

If it were built for a pair of 15's you might find someone in NY looking for a TNE Pro 1 van, but a pair of 18's is only good in Drags SS 1-2. Drags is dead in New England, but still some guys doing it in western NY and MD/PA areas. Not sure whats up with USACi in the Northeast, but might be good for one of the Mod classes.

One would just need to make rings. It's been done before in this van.
