vinyl wrap help

[psychoacoustics]

im trying to figure something out im fine wrapping small things like kick panels or boxes round or square but....

i want to wrap a box in vinyl , problem is its going to have a slot port.


i absolutely hate the look of carpet or vinyl butted right up to an edge of a port

i suppose i can make thin panels that cover all the sides of the box and wrap them then attach them but then i end up with fasteners of some sort

or i can make a port that protrudes from the box but how do i finish the edge so its not just ragged ?

ive seen piping like on a classic cars seats but i think its tacky

ive also though about a thick panel that can be attached from the inside of the box like this

an one got any ideas to vinyl around a port? without adding a grill?

use a roundover bit on the port and use that to hide the seem.
