View Full Version : New pioneer line up *****?!?!

I've been out of the car audio game for a bit, and i've returned only to find out the new line up *****.. I feel theres a huge lack of features compared to what is currently available, to what *was* currently available. I mean, in order to get a HU with internal blutooth, you'd have to settle with only 2 2v preouts. Lame, when last years model you could get so much more..

Is it me or..?

I thought it was a no brainer, its almost engrained in me to think pioneer is naturally commercial garbage..

Ah, well I guess so.. What are the brands to be looking at these days?

Ya I've always been a fan of pioneer stereos, but they dont have a single hu that has everything I want that isnt on the extreme high price range now days. Can get a kenwood, alpine, jvc, etc with tons of features, higher voltage preouts, and better specs for way cheap. Its a shame really. Wonder what they're thinking lol

Man, I couldnt agree more. I used to always run Pioneer, especially when on a budget. Now only the top top models have enough features worth buying. They fell off a few years ago, when they stopped offering the rear USB. :( Now I run a Kenwood, which Im sure could be better, but it meets my needs and has a ton of settings.

I used to run a pioneer wayyy back in the day. But now i have moved on to JVC...I love my radio for the fact it does everything and the customization settings are amazing to me.

pioneer has turned to crap...I would rather run Kenwood, JVC or even the newest Sony's

I recently had and issue with my old Pioneer deck. The automated flip down broke. So I decided to try and get a new head unit and ended up with a Kenwood. After 2days of "giving it a try" I took it out and put my old school Pioneer back in. I can get the flip down fixed later. You just cant beat the old school stuff. T/A, 6.5volt preouts, indepth eq with phase shifts. If I want HD or Xm, I just have to get the IP buss adapter and plug in.
