Should be interesting, USACi just announced a show 10 minutes from this one at the same time. Unfortunate, I'd like to hit a USACi show and a few other I know want to hit both, but are coming to this one instead.

I feel sorry for that shop. They go above and beyond. All kinds of free food, hamburgers hot dogs bbq chicken, sodas etc. and all free. Then they must raffle off atleast 2Gs in equipment. They run radio adds and have a dj also. I tried to tell someone......................... nevermind!

Just added to this event, a TNESPL 1X, for those that need points for Finals. It'll be a points only type deal, $20 to do the TNE format, $10 if you do it in addition to the NESPL formats. Trophies for the NESPL formats, if needed I'll print a certificate for the TNE part.

And a TNESPL 2X event already planned for this location June 19th, will be posted here soon.

lol Nate, I'm sure you'll be at the other show. Either way, the one I'm doing always has free burgers and dogs, plus lots of raffles. Last year we raffled of a DC Audio 18" lvl 4, the year before was a Kinetik battery charger and lots of gift certificates and other items, not sure whats being raffled this year. The other show might see 20-25 cars, this one is part of a car show and always get's over 150 plus those doing the NESPL part. Porter & Chester always has a decent show, between this location and their Chicopee Mass locations.

No, I know the P&C shows I've won over the years at several of them. The best P&C show is in Stratford Ct.
Now in all my years, I've never seen a shop give away as much stuff as they gave away last year. It's just too bad that Mark scheduled the show the same day.
I'll be at your show.

once the show gets going I think they have it open around the side of the lot so people can leave, but I'm not 100% sure on that. I never really get a chance to get to that end of the lot. At the beginning they have parking cones blocking the other entrance/exit so everyone enters through the same spot.

We're going to be raffling off a few various Boston Bruins items at the show, make sure to come over to the NESPL tent and buy your raffle tix, all proceeds will be going towards Pancreatic Cancer research. During the off-season one of our competitors lost his dad to pancreatic cancer, and my father is dying from it as well, unfortunately chemo doesn't always work with certain forms of Pancreatic cancer, such is/was the case here.
We have a Boston Bruins practice jersey with 8 autographs on it, including:
Mark Recchi
Patrice Bergeron
Daniel Paille
Tuuka Rask
Andrew ference
Brad Marchand
Blake wheeler
Johnny Boychuk
Also we'll have a few other Bruins items, Pull Over's and T-Shirts, all from the Boston Bruins.

We'll also be having a 50/50 raffle too. Hope everyone comes by to check them out.

Mr. Slate
05-07-2011, 08:23 PM
That's a great cause and God bless your dad.

SPL Blazer
05-08-2011, 01:32 AM
Thanks Nate, there's not much that can be done to save my dad, but there are millions of people with Pancreatic cancer out there, and more that will get it, so this one means something to me and I plan on donating all proceeds from everything raffled and the 50/50 towards this charity. We're doing it for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network www.pancan.org (http://www.pancan.org), as far as I know myself and my daughter both have strong chances of also getting Pancreatic cancer. There are many forms of it, and several on my dad's side of the family have died from the same form he has now, it's an untreatable genetic form which they say I could quite possibly later in life. I don't care if I get it, but I don't like the idea of my daughter ever getting cancer, so if there's a chance to prevent it by donating money towards pancreatic Cancer research then I'm all for it.

It's a little early to know for sure, but if it does rain on Sunday the 15th there is a rain date set for the following Sunday, May 22nd. I'll post it here, FaceBook and the website if it does get moved. As it looks right now it's supposed to rain, but that could all change by the weekend.

Dreamz II Reality said if it is postponed they'll let everyone know by 7pm on Saturday night at the latest. So if they let me know I'll let everyone else know. With the size of the show and the vendors and such they don't want to postpone it unless they really have to.

Building up subs today but I got rid of all my boxes.

While I could not stay as long as I would have liked (Had to hit NAPA for parts to fix the steering on the truck), I saw some nice cars and some interesting ones. Different approaches by different folkes? Or sumtin'.

I would have loved to see the blue Blazer on the meter. I could feel that from 50+ feet. Sweet.

Also got to see what 150db was like. Glass flexing. Insane. Not my goal. Thankfully. I don't think I can afford it with all my other hobbies. LOL

Nice job folks.

Yeah, the Tahoe. It's a GM, the Tahoe, and fullsize Blazer are the same thing. LOL

The van was pretty loud to the naked ear (even from across the lot), but I guess that goes to show that the ear and the meter are not the same thing, huh? Wow. I wish I could have stayed to see it run, but it sounds like it was disappointing.

Mike, the van your thinking of with all the speakers in it never got on the meter, he was there to demo and have some fun hanging out. There may have been another van that came through though, not sure. The Tahoe did ok, came in 2nd to an escalade with 6 JL Audio 13w6's.

The Soundstream car. The roofline across the front was flexing at the windshield joint. I didn't mean to give the impression that the center of the windshield was bowing out. Though that would be some cool shite to see. LOL
