got a pair of Eclipse's from an old guy, and not sure what they can handle. part of me wants to try sealed just to see what they can do. but i have a 34hz@ 3.5cuft, not sure if thats a little too big for them. was gonna throw around 750wrms to each. would a smaller box be a better idea since im puttin more than recommended rms?

I had a pair on an orion 900 back in the day. they were underpowered. Lots of guys around then were putting 1k into them with no problems. They are a sealed box intended sub but I had some success with them ported as well.

Great subs and I wish I still had my pair.

I think you would be ok with throwing 750 at them. I would probably use a sealed box though. I believe those should be rated at 500rms 1000peak. I have the 8122.4 and im puttIng about 700 to each and the appear to wanting more, but my box is sealed.
