Hey, I have some Kenwood Excelon 12" Speakers, older models... I'm wondering if I should use those or try and get this 15" JL Audio...

Mine;Older Kenwood Excelon 12" sub DB+ logo on it, purple cone. Perfect condition.

The one I'm looking at isn't in the best shape.. it's an older 15W0v2 I think. It looks like it. Anyway, it's not in as good of shape, but would it sound better?

Looking for Sound Quality and SPL. Want something that's going to get low, but reproduce well. Until my Coustic DR amp sells, that's what I'll be using to power them/it.

Any input?

Can I get a mod to move this to subwoofer section?

Personaly Id say neither but those older kenwoods like to be in better shape... unless you are getting and awesome deal on them thou there is way better to be had...

Id say neither as well unless your getting a super cheap price on them

The Kenwoods are the ones I have now.. they have good sound reproduction but they are too quiet for my taste, that's why I was considering trading the two kenwoods for the JL.

How much do you think I could get out of the Kenwoods? If I buy some new subs, I'm not looking to spend too much, don't have the money. Both Kenwoods are in great shape. What new subs should I look into?

I'd look into DD;s...the 500 series are really nice for the money...I'd do two or three 10's ported for a nice daily setup
