what exactly do you mean by "it doesnt fit"? did you get a proper dash kit?

no thats not it. it, is too big to just fit in the spot on my dash. i haven't bought it yet. http://a248.e.akamai.net/pix.crutchfield.com/products/2010/49/113/p113DDX318-F.jpeg this is the stereo i want. it's physically too big to fit.

Lulz. Install Fial. Double din in a single din opening.

? not completely understanding what you said. but this is not my truck. just a pic offline. it is what my dash looks like, just showing how much room i have.

try finding a single din flip out if not its time to start customizing (cutting up the dash and moving the a/c buttons down)

the thing is i don't like how the flip out ones operate so i guess ill just cut up my dash :) i mean it's my mudding vehicle/daily driver. i do have that open spot so i could fit the a/c stuff down there

So you answered your own question.

Might as well modify it, probably won't look to nice, unless you know what you're doing.

i just wanted to know if there was something else i could do instead of cutting it up. i might try and make an adapter.... I'm a pretty handy carpenter so ill try my luck. thanks for your input everyone.

do you have any glassing experience? Thats probably going to be your only good cosmetic approach to this.

anythings possible...is your truck equipped with the full center console ? if so the spot where the factory cassette deck fits and storage pocket can be modified pretty easily...to fit it in the dash...it will require a lot of modding including removing a steel brace behind the radio

Well im not sure where the factory cassette deck is supposed to be because when i got the truck there wasn't one. there is a small opening like in the picture where i would be able to fit the A/c unit. i will probably do that and take out the dash and cut it then repaint it.
and no i do not have any experience with glass.
