Bravox WFR-06BV03B 6-1/2" Silver Cone Shielded Woofer 12 Ohm (http://www.parts-express.com/pe/pshowdetl.cfm?&Partnumber=299-057)
think they would be decent??

BTW , they would be running bandpassed off of a hifonics eagle bridged to 2 channels.
Would go in a sealed fiberglass pod below the door panels in my truck.

Meh....bravox are usually overpriced....but those are cheap.
High qts though....not too cool for doors.
Bassin Buick

gonna be in a sealed fiberglass pod. high qts usually needs small sealed enclosures right? I'm not too hip to the t/s stuff.

2.47 cubes needed for 3 to have a flat roll off with -3db at 80hz

ran the t/s through bassbox pro. gives me a f3 of 100hz with 3 of them in .5 sealed with heavy poly fill. Not that bad.

These are what I wanna run....
Peerless 831735 6-1/2" HDS Driver (http://www.parts-express.com/pe/pshowdetl.cfm?&Partnumber=299-281&scqty=2)
1 cube for 2 to tune to -3db at 70 hz.
Could go slightly smaller box and gain a lil before roll off.

i've been thinking about those too. but if i go with 2 per door i'm gonna go 8" because i have the room for bigger mids. were talking about a '85 F-150 here. LOL
prolly just stick with my original plan to use 2 8ohm silver flutes per door. any 8 ohm 8" models you think i should look at? remember i'm not running gobs of power only about 150x2@4 for the mids.

i think i'm gonna go with them. i gotta sell a few computers on CL then i will prolly be getting these. Any good recommendations on tweeters? i already have 4 of these and was prolly gonna use them. (one set low in the pods , and one set low in the a-pillars)
Vifa BC25SC06-04 1" Textile Dome Tweeter (http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=264-1028)
they get loud as **** on small power and still sound good doing it. will get 45 each off of my hifonics hawk.

I'd only use 1 set.
But what are ya gonna use to fill mid from 1000 hz to 3500 hz?
Bassin Buick
03-15-2011, 11:39 PM
also was thinking i may try these Dayton Audio SD315A-88 12" DVC Subwoofer (http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=295-488) behind my seat in a sealed box getting 165 each off my usacoustics 4065.

well i hadn't thought of that because the midbass drivers i was looking at before went up to 3K. LOL.
well i guess i better keep searching. LOL

Use those subs, the 8" midbass, XXXX for mids...and one set of tweeters. Nice active setup.

just took a look at the spec sheet on those dayton classic 8". there is a HUGE dip in response between 1k and 3K. LOL. gotta try something different then. i don't wanna run a 3 way front stage and that would alomst be a must if i used those woofers.

You wont find a decent midbass that plays well up to 3500 without major ripple. You could however get a full range, and play down to 1000 hz....something like these:

maybe run a passive crossover between the mid and tweet and still use the hawk to power that setup? mid and tweet in the a-pillars?

i figured. how about a single pair of these Dayton Audio SD215A-88 8" DVC Subwoofer (http://www.parts-express.com/pe/pshowdetl.cfm?&Partnumber=295-484&scqty=2) for midbass since we are talking about a 3 way setup.
play them up to around 800hz , 800-5K for the mids , and then the tweets playing up from where the mids are cut off at?
CHEMMINS
03-16-2011, 12:04 AM
They will be about the same as the other set....
Ideally you would x at 1k, and 3500 for mb/m/t
Bassin Buick
03-16-2011, 12:09 AM
ok. well i guess i now have a nice idea of what i'm gonna start with in there.
Hifonics Hawk At 1k HP Running the RS-100's and Vifa Tweets passively crossed over at around 3.5k
Hifonics Eagle Bandpassed At 80-1k Running the pair of 8" DVC's
And the usacoustics 80hz LP on the 2 DVC 12's
Nice. should come out pretty decent. I want a speaker system that i can impress with and impress even more when they find out all of them together cost around 200 bucks total. LOL.
Thanks chemmins.
