View Full Version : TC Sounds 12" TC1000's

03-15-2011, 04:03 AM
Item(s) for Sale: I have two TC Sounds TC1000's with the TC2+ motors. I believe they were rated either 500 or 600 watts rms. I cant remember for sure.

Item(s) Description/Condition:
They are both blown, but Thilo has the parts to repair them. One has a 4 spoke basket and the other has a 12 spoke basket. Was planning on using them for my home theater project, but unsuspected finance came up, so I may have to part with one or the both of them. :( I really wanted two of these 12's in my house since they are absolutely great for HT and car systems

$80 shipped each

Shipping and Miscellaneous Item Information:
Prices are with shipping.

Seem pretty nice...

Thank you. They are indeed. I really dont want to get rid of them. But I havent even started on my box build with a plate amp or even send the subs off to get re-conned. They need a good home. Someone who will take good care of these.

Hahaha well I have a lot to learn but I will put them to good use for sure! You said 500 rms originally?

03-15-2011, 04:53 AM
either 500 rms or 600 rms. Ill have to check. The TC2+ motors dont need much power to reach xmax.

Wonder how much they can be built to handle.....

03-15-2011, 04:56 AM
Ok, maybe its 400wrms. I was running both of these on my JBL BP1200.1 which does around 1400 watts. I ran it like that for 3 years, no problems. Problem: Blew the subs when the screws in my downfiring box came loose. Let my cousin borrow my truck for the weekend, I forgot to put the new wood screws in. He turned the stereo up and poof.

What makes the TC-1000 The New Standard entry driver that practically blows away what the retail competition offers at twice the price? Find out why the TC-1000 is the leader is high output below 200 dollars and still embarrasses whimpy SQ drivers time and time again which can't match the TC-1000's distortion vs. SPL performance...

Wonder how much they can be built to handle.....

I believe from talking to Thilo, he said they can be built for higher power handling, but nothing extreme since they are the TC2+ motor.

XBL2 < TC2+

Here is Thilo's email address. He's a great guy. He has been all over the world last time I spoke with him and he was emailing me back from the whole other side of the hemisphere. Emailing me from a new country every time.

Thlio Stompler: [email protected]

He gave me a cost of $90 to recone each sub.

Not splitting the motors and baskets up. Dont have the need for one without the other.

You are local!

I need to go to Frisco and pick up my $100 from my ex girlfriend for me spotting her a Linkin Park ticket a couple weeks ago anyway. She was suppose to be the DD for that night. Had to hide my 2nd flask from her!

03-29-2011, 09:13 PM
Forgot about this. Still up for grabs

04-06-2011, 01:56 PM
Bumpity bump.

Will trade towards a quality amp that does 1800-2000 watts @ 2 ohms

05-02-2011, 08:20 PM
Still have these
