Rear firing wedge for truck?

Need some help here; I'm designing my own box to build for a single 10" JL to put behind the seat of my truck, and I am concidering making it a rear-firing design. I was also going to dynomat the back wall of my truck to keep it from rattling.

Is this design going to be a problem? Would it sound better if I made it FORWARD firing into the back of the seat? :confused:

I've seen many people having it fire up. I would guess that firing into the back would be louder assuming its dynomated. I think a lot of the sound would go straigh into the seat and then reflect off of the windshield to the rest of the car, but going off the back right away might give you better results.

truck boxes should be ported on the top with the subs firing foreward.

huh didn't know that. i made a box for a friend with the subs firing forward and the port to the side. i'd listen to lone ranger, he's special.
