Hey guys, I've been lurking for a while and decided to start posting since I'm going to be doing a new install soon.

I'm not as old school as some of you guys but I did get into car audio back when Elemental Designs (still owned by Ben) was new and had a flat piston eA15, the Rubicons had tons of fins and Aura made neodymium components and big *** amps. I've always kept an okay set of components in my vehicles since but nothing like my old installs.

I just got back from a deployment so I thought I'd give my new car a little more oomph. The car is an 07 Honda Element SC. I already have a Kenwood X792 HU and CDT CL61a w/ TW-25 comps. Here's a rundown of what's going in it:

RE SRX15 in a sealed enclosure (false floor, no spare)
Soundstream STL1.600 and STL2.560
SDS CLD Tiles for deadening
Streetwires for power connections and distribution
Techflex and heat shrink on everything (courtesy of FurryLetters)

I like to think this is a budget SQ system with an emphasis on install. The sub should show up today but everything else won't be in until next week so I haven't begun the tear-down/build-up. I'll start a build-log then.

A quick shot of the SC:

The track record for newbies isn't great.

not yet. I've still got parts in the mail but will try to start as soon as I can pick up a circle jig for my router.

Picked up a Die Hard Platinum today since the ****** stock battery needed to get tossed.

if you see me driving around wave me down, I'd love to see your setup in person

I like the Element.

I literally saved this thing from ricer oblivion. It had crazy 20" chromies and chrome edge trim on everything. At least I can use some of the tiny *** power wiring I ripped out as signal wire to the sub. If it hadn't been a 5 speed I wouldn't have bothered but it was good deal.

don't know the exact street but it's over by the Clinton Library. If you go around the right side and into that industrial area you'll find some sweet locations for photo ops.

It's 5th street (had to look it up). About 50 yards West of the place:

Matson Construction Co, McLean Street, Little Rock, AR - Google Maps (http://www.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=Matson+Construction+Co,+McLean+Street,+Little+Ro ck,+AR&sll=34.74379,-92.254853&sspn=0.003967,0.008256&ie=UTF8&hq=Matson+Construction+Co,&hnear=McLean+St,+Little+Rock,+Pulaski,+Arkansas+72 202&ll=34.74267,-92.258216&spn=0.003857,0.008256&t=h&z=18)
