View Full Version : 13 year-old Alpine stopped, can't figure it out. Any Alpine experts out there?

My Alpine car stereo system just stopped working. The faceplate was removed for a few days, then when I went to put it back in, the radio wouldn't turn on. Did all the usual checks (I'm not an expert at the level most people here seem to be), such as fuses, cleaning connector points, pressing reset button, no luck. But when the reset button is pressed, the cd changer in the trunk cycles through, so there is power, it's just not turning the radio on.

I'll be grateful for any suggestions.

Thanks, guys.

Try pushing on the face plate right where the connectors are. Some times the connectors over the years get pushed in so there isnt a solid connection anymore.

If you want it repaired contact United Radio:
