Does pioneer not make "premier" anymmore?? I am looking into a new version of the prs-880 (last cd player I bought). I went to the website and it doesn't seem like there is...

Doesn't look like eclipse is making stuff anymore.

what gives?

I guess I can look at double-dins but I have no idea which ones are good.

they do not make pioneer premier anymore sadly i guess they werent selling enough of it so they stoped making it. The newest version on the 880prs is the 99prs or something like that and truthfully for the money they are asking for them (1300 dollars) you are better off finding another 880prs

Gotcha...I saw that 99RS deck but figured that is part of the ODR line or something.

I liked the 880 because it was affordable....So wtf do people who want to run active do if they want new?

that 99rs is 10x better then the 880 better filters eq xover section you name it. and you dont' have to worry about pico fuse. if your looking to go active you can't go wrong with it. but if you already have a decent player that has a good transport and puts out a clean single try out the JBL ms8

Yeah....I gotcha. I just may just get a screen and do a componet set...keep in simple.

I am looking at the Kenwood 9960 and the Z120BT. Just need to do more research I guess since I am so unfamiliar.

I have no interest/need in 4way active and rather not pay for features I won't ever use/want.

Pioneer killed off their Premier name for "brand recognition". There was a story about this at the beginning of 2010.
