Is it possible to add too many screws in a box? I was thinking about placing a screw every 2 inches

I was at work building mine today.. and a pound of screws were disappearing fast. Lots of screws help but remember its the glue and Liquid Nails/Silicone that hold it together.

well yea, i have liquid nails and silicon caulk. Along with the 16 L shapped brackets. But i was still planning on putting a nail every 2inches around my whole box, which in the end will be alot of screws. Just didnt know if it would be a problem. the screws are corse thread drywall about 1 5/8in

hey you will crack the wood if you do that make it like 3 or 3.5 inches apart and put some liquid nails inside of the box around each line and crease and on the port also....email me at verylowbass1@aol.com

Putting screws closer than 4-6 inches apart is IMO just a waste of screws and time. If you have gaps, then you didn't cut straight enough.

Thanks for all the replies guys. Im setting up for (hopefully) tomorrow morning. Wood is already cut. I got it cut at home depot and i measured it. Everything came out pretty straight. I need to do a little sanding but a lil work wont hurt. But keep on comming with all the tips. I have my lil black book and im takin notes :nerd:
