Good Projector Brands

Well, I am looking to get a projector. What are some decent brands to look at? What about buying used vs. new? Also, if I want to play Xbox in HD, would I need to buy an HD receiver also, or can I just use the non-hd I have?

ViewSonic is a good brand, it won't break you bank and their bulb seems to last more than the average 2000 hours or whatever.
