Rear deck speaker choice

Okay, Decision time. The system is slowly coming together. My first thought was to run Alpine SPR 176A's in the doors and rear deck. After doing some research, it seems that that much rear speaker is either a waist or not needed. Although 6x9's are not my first choice, I was wondering what you guy might use in the rear deck. I would like to keep everything Alpine but I might change my mind. So far the system includes:

Alpine 7824 HU
Alpine 3321 EQ
Alpine SWR1041 sub
Alpine 3544 Sub amp (400x1)
Alpine 3552 4 ch. amp (4x40)
Alpine CHMS620 Changer
Alpine SPR176A front comps.

I also have an outstanding pair of older Blau Tweeters that I can use if I feel I need them. So, is there a good 6 1/2 or 6x9 that is not a coax or multi piece speaker that I can use for rear fill? Mid bass or mid range? Cash is an isuue with me. The cdt CL-6's look okay I'm just not sure I have the power for them.

PS, I found a cheap set of 6x9's on ebay.....950 watt each...only $19.95.....anyone want to test them for me!

In my opinion, if cash is an issue then don't put ANY speakers in your rear deck. I don't and I can't tell I don't have rear speakers. With a good front stage you will never miss having speakers in the rear.

I pretty much need rears as big as my car is.......95 Impala.....lots of cabin space!

To each his own. I understand. Premier makes some good 6x9s and 6.5s. The rev series especially.

Any other suggestion for a brand of mid range/midbass? I'm willing to go $160 for a set of 6.5's.

FWIW, I went with the CDT CL-6's for the rear deck. Anyone use these? Good price on thezeb.com though they seem to have a problem with the online order system. Nice folks however.
