Whatza 1.2 cu ft box look like?

I think my 12" DVC IMPPS need a 1.2 cu foot box. Anyone have a photo of a box this size just for reference? I think the box I built is too small.

What can I expect to hear IF a sub box is smaller then its suppose to be? and what happens if the box is bigger?

A 1cu.ft box is 12"x12"x12". You can always use Poly-Fil to help the subwoofer out some.

pillow stuffing..at wal-mart



a smaller box will help with power handling and sub response. it will also tend to be "punchier"

a larger box will play lower and tend to be "boomier"

too small of a box can sufficate a sub, not allowing it to play to it's full potential

too large a box and the sub will get muddy and out of control

both could potentially harm the sub


the poly fil will help to "trick" the sub into thinking it's in a larger box
