Which ones will give me better midbass and a overall good sq? looking for a pair of components for under $200

i was thinkin cdt, but i heard that focals have a smoother sound while cdt's are more harsh....

But it will be better to audition both speakers that way you know which one sounds best to you.

Don't get alpine components, the only good alpines are the overpriced ones.

Yeah the Alpine X are the good ones they use Vifa / Scanspeak speakers from Denmark.

IMO the 177a's are not overpriced. You can get them for 200 off ebay, and they are some of the best sounding speakers i've heard, though I know there are better. They have a very nice crossover, and for 200 bucks I think its a very good deal.

I agree.

A very nice speaker set and $200 is right around what most entry/mid levels cost these days.
