It's kind of an odd size, like the old 4x10's in box chevy's and pontiacs. I have alway's been a pg fan. My first real setup was all pg back in 1996 and to this day it might have been the best all around sounding setup I have ever had, granted I paid out the *** for it but Nothing good was cheap in car audio in the mid 90's, I don't miss $1 a watt at all lol

They don't look too bad, man. You could always spend $10 more and give the Crescendo CCX65's a try. They don't look bad either.

I don't know if they do anything other than online sales, man. You'd have to look into that. I'd assume that if they accept walk in customers that you'd save on shipping. I think Crescendo's pricing includes s&h, but it'd have to be a little less if the s&h is removed from the equation...

Yeah, I mean, iirc, Crescendo price includes shipping and I doubt those PG's will so you'll probably end up paying more.

yeah. i like the looks of the crescendos. the look better built than the pg's. maybe get 2 pairs. and use the 4x6 holes to plate mount the rear tweets and carpet some mdf plates to fit the rear woofers in the side pockets in the rear seat area.

What's the RMS on the component set? I need to know if this is worth the upgrade from my CDT set, and I want to try something Crescendo ;)

rated at 100w rms each side.

Specs of the CCX65s are as follows:

Rated at 100rms
Spaced Carbon fiber epoxied cone
push terminals
gold anodized aluminum phase plugs
powercoated baskets
1" neo magnet Silk dome tweeters
Full swivel with flush, surface and angle mounts
and even 3m double sided tape to test out aiming of your tweeters or fast
permanent mounting of tweeters.
18db high end Jspec circuit crossovers
4 ohms nominal

Very nice. One last question: do the crossovers have a tweeter protection built in?

There is a jumper inside that has a straight copper piece that jumps it.
Protection is optional, by using a resistor jumper in its place.
To many, protection circuits are epically annoying, but at the same time, we wanted the option, so we opted for the ability for off/on protection.

thats cool. the 6.5's will get 75 each off my PPI PC275 and the 5.25's will get 50 each off a PC250. so it should work out pretty good.

cuz if the 6.5's hold 100 i imagine the 5.25's will hold between 50 and 75. so i should be str8.
