Once again NESPL and Boomer McLoud of Nashua NH are coming together for a pair of night shows. Both event dates will have a small car show along with SPL and SQ judging. Trophies for 1st and 2nd plus plaques for 3rd. These have always been a great show with a great turnout

The event has changed locations since the past few years location. It will now be across the street from the Boomer McLoud store.

The event dates are set for
July 10th & August 21st
Event will be held in the Building #19 Parking Lot.
420 Amherst Street
Nashua, NH
Event starts at 7pm and runs until it's over, usually by 11pm.

Event registration fee's are the reduced rate of $10 per run for SPL and $10 for SQ, the car show is free. Competitors can make as little as a single run in SPL or as many as you can afford in the time allowed.

Boomer McLoud will have their annual sale event going on at the show too.

All 3 Super Stock classes will be merged into one Super Stock Open class for this event.

I have a trade show in Charlestown that day. I'll try to screw out of ther @ 8 and get up to Nashua for 9:30 ish and crush the rookie class. Your rules or TNESPL rules?

This is a New England SPL event, not a Team NorthEast SPL event, so it's by NESPL rules.

There's plenty of space for everyone at the show. Since this show isn't on the National Guard base this year we'll have to monitor the noise level more than we have in the past. People can still do short demos and such, but it means that none of those annoyingly loud horn style vehicles will be there to deafen everyone around them.

If Keith brings his Acura instead of the Jeep and If Mike is using 2 out of his 4 amps Ill have a fighting chance at this one. Good possibility Ill hit the late August show. I have a ton of work to do b4 then.

I'll end up calling Mike this week and see what he's up to for Saturday. I was gonna suggest to him that he hit the TNE 1X in Dorchester that night and get points, since I had to merge the SS classes at Boomer.

I plan on being there, I love the boomer shows, plus I am hoping to have enough of my new system in to be able to run SPL and the SQ comp

Nice Chris, hit me up if you want to crash out locally after the show as its a night show and runs later then most other shows.

Boomer's goes all out on their trophies, they are beautiful! I'll post up a pic later today of mine for yall to see what I mean unless some1 beats me to it. More then that the shows were an absolute blast last year and now with the new location it will be even better! Can't wait, sooo much work to do this week... ugh. Good thing I love doing it.

I'm not sure who's planning on this one, according to the event list on our FaceBook page there's one person, or at least thats all that has said they are going.

I moved my amps yesterday and planned on moving the battery today, but being 102 degrees out I'm gonna wait til next weekend to do that. Gotta make room for a pair of XS Power D3100's.

Meant to ask what you have for a front stage, or are you planning to work on that once you get the sub stage dialed in? Now that I think about it I've never gotten a demo in your Blazer, 99% of the time your running the show so no time and the few that you were competing at had extenuating circumstances.

I'll take that as a hint to hit up the RSVP list on FB, I don't log onto it a ton and am still getting used to / learning the chit on it lol.

I was demoing at the Porter & Chester show in Chicopee with my daily 10's. Kathy McLean stuck her head in the window and actually got her hair to move from them. Sounded pretty nasty for tens. We'll see how loud it is now with the 15's in there.

According to the TNESPL website and forum the next two TNESPL 1X events have been cancelled, this includes the one for the night of the Boomer Show and the one for the following Friday night.

I got a call last night from Chris McVay, there's a slight change of plans on the TNESPL 1X for tonight, it got moved from Boston to Nashua NH. It's now at the Toyota of Nashua dealership in Nashua. I think it's on Daniel webster Highway, and that would be a couple exits before the Boomer show. The 1X starts around 5pm and Boomer starts at 7pm. So anyone that wants their points for Finals can hit up the 1X on the way to the Boomer show tonight.

Wow talk about last minute!

That's where they had one before and it's a little confusing to find. When you see the Toyota of Nashua building on DW highway turn onto that road and continue further down the road. There is another Toyota of Nashua maybe 1/4 mile behind the first one.

I'm already qualified for final so I don't think I'll bother squeezing in both but it is tempting...

Yup, it's rain or shine. Accuweather.com says there should be rain at 4, 7 and 11 pm and cloudy in between. Looks liek it'll be passing showers with a couple hours of no rain. A rain date would have been nice, but thats unfortunately not up to me.

It's outside in a large parking lot, if you have a tent/canopy then bring it along there's plenty of space.

Great turnout for the show considering everyone thought it was gonna get rained out. I don't remember the exact number but I believe it was 21 competitors in SPL and 11 in the SQ format. I'll have the results posted in the next day or so, too tired to do it now.

Nope, it was the Jeep he just didn't want to break another windshield, he'll save that for next weekend at the 3X. He's had to replace two of them after the past couple shows.

The SQ results were kept by Boomer since they handled that part of the comp, so I don't have any of those.

Stock 1 was a fun class and Mike came so close to his 150. I think the humidity was hurting everyone a bit too, so I think any other day he would've had it.

Oh, that *****. I was just curious how many other people there were in my class. The whole event was a little disorganized, the lights in the parking lot shut off at ten leaving everyone in the dark for the last hour of the show. I was never given a score sheet and the cars were not divided up into classes by area. I was parked next to some crankin bass heads. It made for an interesting comparison,
"Hey what do you have there?,
"Oh 15k watts worth of Rockford Fosgate amps and 4 12" Orion hcca's walled off, lol."
"Cool, I've got 250 watts on a 10" Idq, haha."
I had fun though, I'd like to try competing in a higher class next time.

SPL Blazer
07-12-2010, 09:14 AM
The SQ guys were in different classes, I think there were 5 of them. It was the amateur guys that were divided up by power, but the Pro guys were divided up by area, there was a total of 11 SQ competitors with at least 2 per class. I don't think anyone ever gets there scoresheets in SQ, they do let you come up and see the sheets so they can explain things to you and let you know what area needs improvement.
Might have gotten messed up a bit that night though, when the parking lot lights went out. Hopefully the store does what they said they would and change the timer on their parking lot lights for us next time. They told Boomer they would be on til midnight.

Yeah so that means in my class there was only one other guy. Do the higher classes take install more into consideration?

They were saying if you didn't do the install yourself that put you in pro. Some orgs bump categories based on modifications in front of the A pillar but there really wan't an inspection or any questions on the signup form. Too bad I'm busy the weekend of their next show I sort of regret not giving it a whirl just for laughs.

SPL Blazer

I'm not exactly sure what they take into consideration for the SQ portion, It's judged by the Boomer staff and I never got into SQ at all so I never asked. At some of the other comps that run SQ portions, like USACi shows, they do take install into consideration. For Boomer shows, if you did your install yourself and had under 2K for power then they considered it amateur, if you paid to have it done you are pro. But also if you happen to have more than 2000 watts that would also put you into a pro class.

Thats right, it does seem to be more on the honor system then anything. None of the guys that do the SQ portion have been serious SQ competitors in the past, I think it's mostly customers of Boomers or friends of their customers that try it.

Who said anything about a prefab. Nothing wrong with getting loud for a bit, just don't see the point of designing a whole system around that one idea.
