ive got a caravan with 8 speaker openings and i want to stay as stock looking as possible.

i have room for 5.25s in the dash , 5x7's in the doors , 6x9's in the rear side panels , and 3" in the rear pillars.

i was looking at the eclipse sc components. the 3way sc8265 with the woofers in my doors and the highs in my dash. and the sc6900 with the woofers in the side panels and the tweets in the rear pillars.

how do either of these stack up when compared to others in that price range?

Eclipse makes good speakers. But price has a lot to do with buying decisions too.

They're good, solid speakers but you'll either find them unavailable or on really good closeout prices since Eclipse has just left the US market.

Heres the news on Eclipse leaving.......

Eclipse Leaving Car Electronics Aftermarket

Joseph Palenchar -- TWICE, 1/6/2010

Los Angeles-The Eclipse brand will disappear from the car electronics retail aftermarket after a run of 21 years.

Parent company Fujitsu Ten Corp. of America confirmed plans to discontinue sales of Eclipse mobile audio, video and navigation products in the struggling aftermarket in North America, Latin America and South America.

Fujitsu will merge the Eclipse business with its existing OEM car electronics unit to expand Fujitsu's OEM accessory business, which markets entertainment, communication and safety products as options sold by new vehicle dealers and manufacturers.

Eclipse was the first aftermarket autosound company in the 1980s to introduce a digital data bus for car audio components, and it was known for its double0DIN in-dash navigation/entertainment units.
