i currently have the sony gt 64ui. I was just wondering if i would better cleaner sound from the 9887 or one of alpines digital media receivers. the preamps on the sony are going through a rf 3sixty.2 to a rf t400-4. would there be any improvement there. also would the higher preamp voltage take away the noise coming from the speakers. the gain is all the way down on the t400-4 but its up a good bit on 3sixty.

Well do you buy the 9887 for better sound than other models or is it the features on the 9887 that make it a better sounding headunit? I'm just trying to get. Midrange system with near high end sound I bought custom kick panel enclosures to fit 6 1/2 compnents and I was listening between Rockford t1 and kicker rs components can't decide on that either. Any one more reliable than the other? Any suggestions or inputs?

buddy has kicker set and for 100 bucks or watever it is on ebay they dont sound bad at all. Higher volumes the tweeter gets a little messy. The woofer doesnt produce THE MOST midbass but overall the set makes for a cheap alternative to a good sounding system. (Buddys only running 60rms per side)

Well I'm actually looking to crossover the woofer between 700 and a thousand htz being part of a 3 way frontstage. So midbass isn't really a concern. I current have kicker ks690's in stock location for 70 to 2250 hertz and candence 1.2 silk domes low on the sail panel for 2250 and up
