Just thought I'd share a couple pics of the system in my 97 Tahoe.

HU: Alpine CDA-7998
Amps: Diamond D5 600.2; Diamond D5 1200.1
Components: Diamond Hex S600s in front; Diamond M361 in rear running off the RAF from the front crossovers
Sub: Diamond TDX 12D4

Got a new Diamond TDX 12D2 on the way...might as well get the full output from the sub amp rather than only getting 600 watts with the DVC 4ohm sub I have now.

There was plexi in the front of the amp rack, but the **** thing kept falling out. So I'll have to figure something else out. The inside of the amp rack is covered in thin brushed aluminum to go with the chrome amps. I probably should've put some lights in there to show off the chrome.

The amp rack is attached to the back of the rear seat, so it lays down when you fold the seat forward. And the sub box comes out in case I need to haul something.

BTW, I didn't do this install. The shop that did it had my **** truck for almost 2 weeks...I think by day 7 they were getting sick of having it around.

From that 1st picture it looked photoshopped, but it's obviously not from the other pictures. I just found that funny. Looks like a nice install, too bad you didn't do it yourself. You would have appreciated that much more.

Yeah...didn't really have the time or I would've come up with something. I may redo it sometime to make it a little more attractive.

You're right, that first pic does look Photoshopped. LOL

I like it.... I don't know much about Diamond stuff... I've seen it on the net and in CA&E, but never in a shop or in person....

I was gonna ask where u got those snap in type gromets vs the ruber ones for firewalls or whatever that I normally see at shops, but ya said u didn't do it...

Anyone know a site with grometes like those???

Looks nice though, thanks for sharing...

Thanks for the pics.....

I don't like where the Sub is. Amprack looks pretty good, but glass the sub or something...

Love the amp rack ... looks well organized, nice and clean.

Don't know if I would have mounted the sub there for aesthetic purposes, but it looks pretty nice.

The only thing that matters is that you like it. Don't let anyone tell you different. :)

My main goal was that the sub was removable and the amp rack could lay down to allow me to use the cargo area. I'd love to hear suggestions on what you guys think would be a better configuration of the box and amp rack. I would REALLY like to put the amps in the back doors behind a plexi window. I have the barn door type rear (instead of the tailgate and flip up window), so I could put one amp in each door. That would free up a LOT of room in the back. I wonder how hard that would be to accomplish.

IMHO could mold off the right panel, and build it out toward the middle of the truck, then amps in the rear doors, which wouldnt be too rediculous.
