Help with new sub box

I am going to build a new box for my 4 Boston Pro 12’s, the box will be going in the back of a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer. My question is should I fire them up, back, or down?? I was thinking about firing them down against a 1” sheet of MDF so the carpet/foam in the truck doesn’t soak up any of the bump. Thanks for any help you can throw my way!

Personally if i had a blazer i would put them facing up and and at an angle foward... but that's just me. I did that for a friends explorer... looked cool.

either facing up or back will make them sound louder and sometimes facing down. u just gotta try differen't ways and see what u like better
