ive been checking out single enclosures,and i saw one that was made for the sub,but it was almost $400.is there anything in a cheaper price range,because im working on a budget.

holy hell. YEa if u were in nc it would be around 100 for a plain box( no carpeting)

Even if so let it be. It's his **** if he wants to blow a nice sub with a cheap amp(if thats the case and im not sayin it is)then it's his to do so.

Get some help with the space, tuning (if necessary), etc. Then for 40$ or so go to Home Depot and make your own :) Saves money and can be fun.

bought the sub for only $150 so i would be crazy to spend more on a box then the sub.down in h-town,we put whole systems in our cars for less than 5 bills.why spend a whole bunch.if you find a good deal,dont ask questions where it came from is my motto

im hooking the sub up to a Sundown,someone told me theyre the best to use with that particular sub

i dont know to much about systems,lol...im a super amateur.i havent even heard of re audio before.but i ran across this guy on craigslist that was selling the sub for that price,and i checked out some videos and stuff,and it blew my mind one sub has that much power.it sounded like 4 15"s

Sundown makes a solid product. Though I don't see how a particular sub will play differently based off of what the amp has written on it ;) There are many amps that will play well on that sub. So don't stress brand name too hard as long as it is a reputable company and model of amplifier.

Yeah crazy stuff eh? 2k seems ridiculous now right? Wait til you start reading about people running some 7k's strapped...Can make you want more and more lol.

The OP should've specified that his sub in an old (2005-ish) model XXX 15".

RE recommended:
sealed: 2 - 3 cubes
ported: 4 cubes @ 27Hz

I honestly don't know if those numbers any better than what RE recommends for the new XXX, though.
