im building a box and i was wondering if u take into account the displacement of the subwoofer before you do the dimensions to determine volume...its 1.75-2.25^ft and i wanna build the box to be 2.25^ft, im gettin 2 kicker comp vr subs (each chamber will be 2.25^Ft) and im just wondering if the 2.25 is before or after woofer displacement and if its after, how would i know the displacement?

thanx

You can find displacement on manufacturers website. It is ~.05 cu ft, so really isn't much of a difference unless its a ported box.

http://kicker.com/images/manuals/CompVRTechManualV2_1.pdf

go to the bottom of that for box diagrams

Take the sub displacement + port displacement + box size = the size you need to build your box.

i was goin thru that PDF he linked to earlier and it suggests 2.25cft max + port...not + sub, do they already take the sub into consideration? if i count the sub thats gonna be a box thats .5 cft too big...thats no good

Displacement is .05 rougly, not .5 (that would be a **** big sub)

my bad, i wasnt reading it correctly...but my question still stands, if the PDF suggested 2.25 + port max, i shouldnt include the woofer right?

Most likely not, if you are following an example off their site the dimensions should be there, but otherwise just build it. .05cuft won't throw the whole thing off too much, maybe tuning by a very miniscule amount.

im not using their dimensions but for the recommended box size it says "1.75-2.25 cft + port"
