New to the boards but really old school car audio nerd

Hi!

I was really into car audio back in the 80's but couldn't afford to buy a decent system to save my life back then.

but, it was always loud and for that , my buds never had a complaint;)

in the 90's i managed to build a box in my Volkswagen Gulf that housed a pair of 15" and **** was that a monster rig.

well now in my 40's i don't focus too much on that side of life but every now and again feel the need to tech up the stock systems i find myself listening to.

My hearing really seems OK oddly enough.

Um , someone on the forums replied to one of posts suchs that,I "fail at topics" perhaps suggesting I have an issue creating threads.

Would have instead appreciated feed per my question but I suppose I'll take whatever dialog I can get :)

More pointedly, I'm looking for iPod interface help and don't seem to be finding a solution on these forums:
- am I on the right forums to find such info?
- was/is there something wrong with my posts?
- the use of the word "interface" perhaps is out of line?

Perhaps it's just the computer geek in me but, "interface" seems like the perfect word since the device I want bridges the headunit and the iPod.
