Started this build back in 2007 and it's been slowly progressing ever since. It started out I just wanted something no one else around me had, so I had a friend design me a box and me and Will got to work on it. After the wreck I got the next truck and decided to throw some sound deadening in and get rid of the backseat. The first box was roughly 5.5 cu. ft. before displacements but it just wasn't what I expected so I opted for a PWK design so now I'm going to see how this box works out. Any comments or questions welcome.

Starting the deadening. Didn't get pics of it completed, we were kind of pressed for time so I didn't have any time to get pics of the damplifier.

Frame for the false floor. It's not complete yet due to the fact I need to get my batts and alt.

No rap when the flags are flying, mainly hank jr but that was one of the requirement for my buddies wedding was to fly the flags, I only do it on special occasions. I've heard that the PWK box's are supposed get really good results, I guess I'll find out next weekend.

for someone sticking up for dave, you sure do have the understanding of a build log. what did i call that.......wasnt it a dickrider?

DDsilverado

Yes that was it, and I do believe that I came to the conclusion that you are the pot calling the kettle black. Check your post history man, other than this build the only other ones that you have posted in are Dave's. I believe that would be your definition of dickrider. You follow him pretty hard man. I would also appreciate it if you didn't clutter up this thread with useless stuff. If you have no criticism, compliments, questions or anything else that would pertain to the actual build don't bother posting.

im always commenting on the build logs, not sure what youre talkin about bro. ill give you that respect to not post anymore in this thread but next time, dont stick your nose in someone elses business and that wont happen. comprende?

I didn't ask you to not post, just don't fill it with useless stuff. That defeats the purpose of a build log, I see it all the time on almost every forum I'm on. People will post a couple pictures then 2 pages of crap. All I did was looked through your post history to find out what you have against Dave. I didn't see any posts in anything but his build logs, that's what I meant. I wasn't trying to pry but Dave never really has said anything bad to anyone that I have seen so i was just wanting to know why your mad at him. I can see the whole build log thing you have against him but to me that isn't that big of a deal. that's just me though. If you have anything constructive to add to the build by all means, post away. Just don't fill it with junk. I'm sure you can respect that.

x2... glue the top, cut the hole, then glue the bottom... easiest way to not worry about saw dust.

Reason for the sub hole not being cut out is cause the sub is at my house and I'm not there to get the gasket to the guy building it. It's no big deal, that's why we got a shop vac and compressed air. Thanks for the compliments.

I used duct tape on my last box to seal around the sub, it worked pretty well so I can't complain.

Put it in saturday night just to hear it. I was impressed with it. It felt kinda like getting punched in the chest. It sounded good but there's still room for it to get louder.

Late model d motor. Got it for $160 in 2007.

Got a small teaser vid here. I'll get a better one next time I'm home. It's kinda crappy cause all I had was my cell phone but it's better than nothing I guess.

I like how you have that accent, confederate flags, and you start playing lil wayne...lol, classic. Awesome HU by the way, I liked it much better than the Alpine 9887 and Eclipse CD7100 I had. I couldn't hear any music, you going to work on your frontstage next?

DDsilverado
05-17-2010, 03:52 AM
Lol, I hate the way I sound on video. What ***** worse is that's what I sound like in person. The flags are only brought out on certain occasions, it's not an everyday thing. Thanks, I really like this h/u. Lots of features, fairly easy to use if you take the time to look at it. Front will begin next year. In the doors will be two DD 6.5W, four tweets, and two DD MB 6.5's. I'm going to do a DDC 6.5 set in the kicks, A pillar and C pillar. I think it will keep up then.

Seems like all interest was lost in the build. I apologize for the lack of updates, my grandpa has been in the hospital so I haven't really had time to get any work done.

3500 at 14.4V. After box rise and voltage drop I'm probably getting 1900-2200. That's just estimation though.

No problem. I'm going to try and get everything with the box done this weekend that way I can get it coated. I've got 34 days roughly before I can get the electrical right. I'm going to make some calls and talk to some people to see what it's gonna cost me for an alt. and some batts. I've seen people running separate electrical setup's for the vehicle and the stereo. How do you guys think the AQ90x4's would hold up to say 16 volts? I want to leave the truck's electrical pretty much stock then have a separate alt for the stereo but, AQ doesn't have anything on their site telling what voltage they can handle.
