All Thanks go straight to Mark @ Mach5audio for all the help in getting me all this nice stuff :-) and helping me along the way answering all my questions about passive radiators. I haven't seen many builds with passive radiators so hopefully this will help out anybody on the edge of getting involved with them..

Soooooo, New to posting on here, but i've been a long time lurker lol.
So 1 Whole month later, Juggling school and this build every chance I had, It's finally in the finishing stages, lots of little things here and there but thats the fun part haha.

Here's some battery terminals I made in shop class at school on the lathe and vertical mill in between my other projects, Didn't like the ones you can buy, they didnt seem to fit right and well, it's too fun making things lol..

i just realized that those ixl-10's look pretty identical to the SA-12's..... beefy lookin subs, i've read that that make poor spl subs though....for the price you cant beat em

We'll my friend that's why they make the SPL-12/15 versions lol...because some people actually like to listen to music . the way it was intended to be heard haha

This is not SPL oriented,The plan was that I wanted a small footprint in my trunk , just wanted something very lightweight, no heavy mdf box, but wanted to have an amazing low end so I went with the passive radiators. and with a box volume of .4, bass reflex ixl version, it was possible to have that with a sonotube, and the sub and PR opposing each other...

The whole assembly weights barely nothing all assembled. pics of the whole rack to hold amps and subs finished coming up tomorrow

^^^ true, and i should've realized you won't in it for the SPL, sinse you were using the pr's....lol....looks like it'll sound pretty awesome though...i'm still yet to hear a passive radiator setup....good luck with the rest of the build

Here the final assembly minus the subs in and the sundown saz-1500 on top of those two smaller ultimate t2-2250 for my RSD6 components, one amp per side, setting the amps @ 100x1 @ 4ohms for each side. Don't know if they can handle more lol.. they are rated for 60 rms, and my amps will do 160rms @ 4ohms bridged.

Here it is, sitting in the trunk where it should be permanently, still lots to do, but this gives you a rough look of how its going to look..

I wanna see those PR's in action

I thought that having the pr's facing the backseat would cancel out sound somehow, but it's not the case, the pr's actually don't effect anything, and the bass gets pretty low right now without even having them broken in, i'm sure they will only get better ! The back seat is back in, had the car full this weekend, but I will def take out the back seat again to take a vid of the pr's and the subs, ***** I can only see the pr's or the subs lol.. pr's are facing the backseat !

Yea in school we were taught that PRs are a kool alternative to venting... They also taught us to NEVER vent the rear of an enclosure... Most pics of PR applications I've seen have the PR in the rear of the enclosure... I'd love for someone to school me on this ish lol

so far these subs are F-in crisp to the ears, but its very well complimented by my front components ..
