Moes and re dont match up?

Is re caculator not accurate.

Also real quick is 24 enough port area for a 2cubic ft box?

lol, you need to learn how to post in the correct section...

One thing I noticed about Moe's designs is that his volumes are a little off, the volume he labels the drawings with (at least the drawing you posted in the other thread) was slightly less than the actual volume. I'm thinking he was probably accounting for woofer displacement, which after factored in makes his design more accurate.

just.. no

just.. no

thats not very helpful.

Im mainly wonderin how the tuning frequency can be diff when there the same dimensions. Is the caculator right or is moe?

no it's not helpful. try posting this question in the the box design and enclosure HELP section and maybe you'll get more help. try winisd and then you'll know it's correct

Post in the right section and people may be more inclined to help you.

I don't think that matters as this place is one big clusterfu...

You're right. lol. to the OP, it really doesn't matter where you post. Most likely nobody will help you.

2 years ago this place had 400 ppl on at all times.

the size of the box im not worried about its the tuning frequencies that aint matchin up like on moes 2.5@32hz re is sayin that box is tuned to 29.6hz

You are not going to be able to tell the difference in 3 hz of tuning freq. If you are chasing tenths then yes you probably can tell, but not by the ear.

I already answered your question asshat. Moe's enclosure was accurate if you account for woofer displacement.

i no on size im not worried bout that im worried about the diff bewteen 29hz and 32hz or 32 and 35

Go with moe's.. I ran it through WinISD and it checks out :)

So on moes 2.5@32hz u plug it in on re and its sayin its [email protected] i understand the cubic ft what i dont understand is how the freq is so diff.

You should trust something that's hand made over something that's generated by some website's program that has been questioned over and over.

29x16.5x14 2" port width 12" port length=2.5@32hz sound right?

changing the box volume changes the tuning!

Stop using the RE calculator...either use one of Moe's designs, pay someone to design one for you, or learn how to do it yourself.

Not trying to be rude but quit asking questions and just go with Moe's. Your question has been answered over and over. Nobody will be able to tell you WHY it is off, just that something is f'd up with it and that it IS off. I checked plenty of his designs and he seems to be right. Just go with it already.

With what port length calculator? His matches up with WinISD and that's what matters....

either use winISD or "the12volt.com"

and the re calculator is off by 3ish hertz

when you lose airspace, it raises tuning...i'm guessing that moes figures in the sub displacement which will make volume decrease, causing the tuning to rise

Where is Moe's calculator?

Moe doesn't have a calculator, Moe has box designs pre-made, and their in the enclosure forum.

just let this ******* do what he wants with his re calculator instead of using proven plans. who cares if there was 400 members online back when you joined? you obviously didn't gain any intelligence from them
