Hey, i am in the process of making plans for a new box for my 12" alpine type-r to fit in my reg cab 97 ranger. I have all the measurements and everything, my only problem is what i should do about the port. The new box should have about 2.7cuft. I would like to slot port it to like 34 or 30hz, maybe lower or higher. Never had a slot ported box before. My goal is more for spl, but im just a daily bumper tryin to have a louder system then my buddies. And of course to have music at the parties :) My main question is, how would i go about slot porting a wedge style truck box?

Just use Aeroports.

What are the box dimensions?

W-48"
H-13.5"
Bottom Depth-11.5"
Top Depth-8.5"
This is still the design stage, so changes can still be made..

Can anyone help me out with the slot port dimensions for this box?

well since you are running a twelve i would suggest sub foward/port up....i ran two 8's in my reg cab ranger with sub up port up...port on passenger side. here's a vid of my ranger with two e8s:

****, those 2 8s looked like they hit pretty hard. I ended up just doing 12"x1.25"x24" port on my box, sub/slot facing forward which is about 30Hz from what i can figure out. But the slot isnt being blocked at all. Sounds pretty good. Only getting roughly 350wrms. Definately louder and a better sounding bass then the single 2.5" round port.
